Career Counselling & Placement Cell

Govt. Degree College Sarahan has a Career Counselling & Placement Cell which offers all kinds of counselling and career guidance activities. At present, Sh. Jagmohan Thakur Department of Geography is the Senior-most of this cell along with Dr. Rajan Kaushal (Arts), Ms. Priyanka Sarao (Commerce), Dr. Sudhyan Singh Negi (Sociology), Sh. Suresh Kumar (PTA), Mr. Sanjay Ranjan (Member from Society), Ms. Sarika (Student Representative) & Ms. Nikita (Student Representative) as members of this cell. Career counseling is the systematic process of analyzing student’s strengths, interests, skills and abilities, and mapping it with the right career options and education. Everyone requires career guidance at some point in their life. The career counselors will link the attributes of a student to the available career options to create a personalized roadmap. Career counselors also takeone-on-one sessions to discuss various factors affecting choices in alignment with future prospectus. Career Counseling helps students in understanding the career options they have, and how to pursue them. Career Counseling also helps them understand their own strengths and weaknesses with regard to their present course or profession, and let them know what career they would be suited for.
